How to Clean Artist Resin Tools and Your Hands
One thing that might concern you when you use Artist Resin products is how you will clean your tools after doing your artwork. Well, our items are designed to make cleaning your tools and your hands easier. Here are some tips to help you:
- Wipe them off with paper towels. If you have scrap papers, use them first to take out the greasier crap. Then use fresh paper towels to make sure nothing is left behind. The paper absorbs the oil, thereby making your tools more comfortable to grip on your next use.
- If wiping with paper is not enough, use alcohol to remove the crap. We don’t recommend any brand since most alcohol can do the job. Dab some rubbing alcohol on a paper and use it to wipe off the tools.
- For a cleaner look, use soap and water to wash your tools and hands. This process takes out the greasy feel of the epoxy. Wipe them off with a tissue paper or a chamois, a kind of soft and absorbent towel which you usually use for cleaning your car.
- There are soaps that you can find in a hardware store which are specially formulated to remove epoxy. They contain a unique solution that quickly breaks the epoxy resin and makes cleaning faster. Some of these soaps cannot be used for hand washing so carefully read the label. For your hands, alcohol plus soap and water is enough.
- Make sure you pat and dry your tools. Leave it dry in the open before keeping them in the toolbox.
So that’s it, that’s how you clean your tools and hands after using Counter Culture DIY Artist Resin. Make it a habit to clean them right after you finish your work. It is easier to take them off while the epoxy is still soft.
